Brian is, among other things, the State Geodetic Coordinator to Arizona for National Geodetic Survey and a Registered Land Surveyor at Central Arizona Project. We referred to this being the "Geodesy for Dummies" episode. Besides Brian's choice of music...this was non-stop quality content from start to finish! Stick a pin in Belgium! Lieven Beuckx is the founder of LSBbvba, a surveyor's office for individuals, architects, engineering offices, public authorities, notaries, and real estate professionals. He is registered on the "Federal Council of Surveyors-Experts". We love talking with land surveyors from around the world to get a better understanding of the global surveying culture. Some of the items discussed include the role of land surveyors in Belgium, unique challenges, historical markers, non-licensed surveyors, the three languages of Belgium and the Manneken Pis!! The guys (DD & Chief Geek) were joined this week by the intelligent and talented Tessa Gurley! Tessa has a great story that I'm certain we all can relate to in way or the other. She has seen rock bottom and dug herself out to become the best human she can be. Tessa is passionate about Integrative Medicine (IM) being the healing-oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. Episode 176 - Aaron Goldstein, PG @ UES

Classic example of "you never know where your next podcast guest is going to come from"! The guys were joined this week by Aaron Goldstein, PG a regional department manager of UES' Virtual Design Consulting (VDC) department. Aaron is a geophysicist and technology integration expert with specific specialties at evaluating subsurface conditions . His expertise includes leading geophysical campaigns to characterize the subsurface and innovating new approaches to resolving unknown below-grade conditions. He assists and advises clients to avoid potential geological hazards such as buried debris and unknown buried assets. Oh, and he also attended North Carolina State University where the campus dance is apparently the "chicken dance"!  Rob Mooers, LSIT was our guest co-host and did not disappoint! Michal's vision is to see the whole world being transformed into 3D. Drew Meren...come on down! You're the next esteemed guest on The Geoholics! Drew is a GISP and Senior Account Manager - East Coast at NV5 Geospatial. If you're like us, you've been seeing NV5 from coast to coast and are curious about what exactly they've got going on. Well, now is your chance to find out! Drew was an economics major that took a geography class and never looked back. He and his NV5 team recently completed lidar data collection across 5,125 square miles of Eastern Massachusetts! This was done in conjunction with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) and uncovered over 1,000 primary addresses and over 10,000 structures previously unidentified by imagery alone!
