Episode 145 - Dr. Karen Joyce

The guys were joined this week by another geospatial influencer...Dr. Karen Joyce! Dr. Joyce is a biographer for Mother Earth, using satellites and drones as her scientific illustrators. She shares my experiences drawn from more than 20 years as a geospatial scientist in academia, military, industry, and small business to help people discover science beyond lab coats and test tubes. Dr. Joyce is passionate about how we can use drones and geospatial technology to watch over our environment and its changes. So the more people she can inspire to join her, the faster we can put plans in place to help keep our environment healthy into the future! Episode 143 - Jonathan ”Jon” Murphy & GoGeomatics

This was a two for the price of one week! Not only were we lucky enough to have Gavin Schrock join us as a guest co-host, but also Jon Murphy the Founder and Managing Director of GoGeomatics Canada and GeoIgnite; Canada’s national geospatial conference. Such a great and insightful conversation with our new best friend from North of the border. We are so blessed to be able to talk to some of the most interesting people on the planet and this week is no different! The guys were joined by Eric Cabading who is not only the Executive Vice President of GeoTel Communications, LLC., but also holds four patents for telecom technology! GeoTel has been in business for over 20 years and is the leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure data in a geographic information system (GIS) and Internet-based spatial technologies. We touched on the GIS/geospatial relationship, the importance of spatial data analytics, the future of fiber and communication in general, what it means to be "lit", communicating in the metaverse and a bunch of other nerdy telecom stuff. Episode 141 - Jordan R. Rose

The guys were joined this week by the one and only Jordan Rose! Jordan is nothing short of a trailblazer. She is an attorney, community leader, philanthropist, mother and the owner of Rose Law Group, the largest woman-owned law firm in Arizona’s history. In addition, Rose Law Group is the first full service law firm on the metaverse for metaverse based businesses and the first law firm in the world to employ blockchain developers, coders and 3d architects to work with lawyers to take a Web3 project from legal due diligence through to design and construction. Hmmmm...sounds like a great opportunity for meta land surveyors?!?!?! Jordan's passion is solving people's problems and we're certain you will enjoy this inspirational conversation as much as we did. Episode 140 - Raymond Woering & Hanno Kant From Aplgos B.V.

The guys were joined this week by two legends in their own right. Raymond Woering & Hanno Kant dropped in all the way from the Netherlands to tell us everything we wanted to know and more about Apglos & the Survey Wizard. Coincidentally we also had a Bad Elf along for the ride so you can only imagine the hijinx that ensued! These guys are the Laurel & Hardy of the GPS world. Episode 139 - Patricia Solis

"Be a Great Ancestor"...this is just one nugget of priceless information provided this week by Patricia Solis (pronounced So-Leece). Patricia, among other things, is another global geospatial influencer that we were humbled to have spent some time with. She is currently a Research Professor at thee Arizona State University...Forks Up!...the Executive Director of the Knowledge Exchange for Resilience, and Director and Co-Founder of YouthMappers!!!. One of her many passions is working with young people and generating knowledge and science for, and with the public. "Everything Happens Somewhere"...let that one sink in! Now for something completely different! Mark Taylor & Kent Groh went rogue and interviewed thee David Pounders for this entirely unscripted episode. To say they had fun would be an understatement!! David is an incredibly interesting human being...who knew engineers had this much personality! As a veteran (did you know there is only one branch of service?), entrepreneur, family man, leader, inventor, prophet, music critic, bigfoot hunter and cubed-earther...David shared a ton of knowledge and wisdom. We...are...back! Ok...Geoholics...this is an episode that is near and dear to many of our hearts and we appreciate you taking the time to listen. Elise Micheals joined us this week to talk about mental health...specifically a males perspective as it pertains to their struggles with mental illness and the challenges that go along with it. We were also joined by our good friends Peta Cox and Ryan Swingley who showed tremendous courage by sharing their individual stories.
